Almost all parts of Washington are home to various types of orchards, farms and ranches, inland and along the shores.

Washington is notorious for its fruits, such as apples, cherries, berries and more. Add various nuts, vegetables, grains, fibers, seafood, dairy and other types of crops and harvests to the list to round it out.

Equestrian and other animal husbandry activities are pervasive throughout the state. Ranches large and small are almost everywhere except in the hearts of the bigger cities, but even in many suburban neighborhoods.

Fresh local produce, meats, wines and ciders, dairy products and other locally produced food and beverage products are available year round as the various seasons flow, thanks to the healthy and vibrand communities of orchards, farms and ranches.
